Hat of the Day Sketch – early 1900s felt and satin hat

I found an old photo of a woman from the early 1900s — I’m guessing the 1910s from her dress — wearing this wonderful grey felt hat wrapped in maroon satin with a pearl brooch on the side.  Unfortunately I have no clue which milliner created it.

This hat’s wide, dramatic sweep and near-turban feeling inspired today’s HOTD drawing.  I hope you like it!
