Unfortunately, there isn’t a millinery supplier in Dallas anymore. I heard that the last millinery supply shop in Dallas was in Deep Ellum and closed in 2005, before I started making hats. Trust me, that is a source of frustration for those of us trying to put Dallas back on the millinery map! The only supplies you can get locally are a few notions like petersham ribbon at Benno’s Buttons (http://www.bennosbuttons.com/). I’ve never been there but heard that they are a good resource in a pinch (though I’ve heard they’re pricier than ordering online.)
Is there a particular item you need to locate? I might be able to suggest some online resources for it.
I’ve also got a list of online sources that I compiled earlier this year that I could email you if you like, and another milliner online is preparing an even more comprehensive document listing millinery resources. If you want, I can set a reminder to email it to you when it’s finished.
